iLABEL systems are powered by Macsa K series CO2 lasers. There is an on-board computer which enables multiple label images to be stored and selected directly; neither a network nor PC connection is necessary. Labels may furthermore be created and edited using Marca software.

iLABEL SYSTEMS HAVE LOW OPERATING COSTS

 

They do not use thermal transfer ribbons and there are no printheads to be replaced. Thermal transfer printheads typically need replacing 2 or 3 times a year.

The laser unit on a iLABEL system comes with a powerful on-board computer which can store many label images. It can furthermore be programmed directly with a hand held control unit.

A traditional thermal transfer printer requires the label to be moving and therefore cannot print when the previous label is being applied. Lasers can print even when the label is stationary and can therefore take advantage of what would otherwise be dead time. And furthermore when the label is short or there is limited information

to be printed a laser can quickly finish the job. A thermal transfer printer is unable to work this way.
